Descendants 2 party cakes

This weekend we went to Rosalie's best friend's birthday party and if you can't figure it out the theme was Descendants! What little person doesn't love the story of the villain children? Naturally when I was asked to make the cupcakes for this party I was super excited. I kept it simple using a template of the character logos I found on Google.

I taped the template down to the counter using some painters tape. It's perfect for not gumming up the counter. Then I laid a sheet of wax paper over the template. This made it super easy to get my little chocolate pieces off the sheet without breaking it.

I simply used the colored Wilton chocolate melts. Even though it took me an hour and a half and 3 different stores to find all the right colors. Put them in a disposable piping bag and microwaved on low power about 30 seconds until they were a good consistency for piping.

Cupcakes were a plain vanilla cupcake. Decorated with a matching frosting for each character and then they got their little chocolate piece!

The party guests were thrilled choosing their character! I love seeing smiles on all of the faces! I'll leave you with that. Happy days!
